Jeff received his Bachelor's degree in Conservation from North Carolina State University. He has been involved with both national and regional builders for more than 30 years. He is a team leader for disaster relief missions and has been to locales from Alaska to Haiti.

Amanda joined HFH-MC in the fall of 2009.  Originally from Miami, Florida Amanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida International University in Miami, and a Master of Professional Studies in Management from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.  Prior to coming to HFH-MC Amanda held positions in fundraising and government relations.  She is passionate about affordable housing issues and is thrilled to be part of the HFH-MC team!

Beatrice is a rare native of Gaithersburg, MD, with the exception of four years living in Richmond, VA earning her degree in Mass Communications and minor in Italian Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. Beatrice spent the last five years in special event planning and membership marketing at a national cultural nonprofit organization in downtown DC. She has been enthusiastic about the mission of Habitat for Humanity since volunteering with them in college, and looks forward to helping make a community impact with the Montgomery County affiliate. In her free time, she enjoys good food with friends, trying new cultural activities, volunteering, going to baseball and hockey games, and cheering on the VCU Rams basketball team.

Jennifer is a graduate from Averett University and prides her expertise in advertising and marketing in both the design and management fields. Since 2002, Jennifer Apple has been providing successful branding and identity services for small businesses all the way up to fortune 500 companies. Jennifer is a successful creative professional who has developed branding solutions that don't follow a predictable pattern. Her style and innovation have lead to the successful campaigns of many well known firms across the country. Now she is proud to be a part of Habitat's happy family.

Melissa graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.  She has a background in management and served as a Director of Operations.  In the past, Melissa has done marketing, business development, strategic consulting and training.  She is excited to work with such a passionate group at HFH-MC!  In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and doing yoga.

John has served as Executive Director since 2006. His prior experience includes owner of several residential construction businesses in Florida and a printing business in Chicago. He was the CEO of McBee Systems, Inc., Parsippany, NJ, a manufacturer of accounting forms and payroll services. After an eleven year career with McBee Systems, he facilitated CEO roundtable groups in Philadelphia, and strategic planning in North American as a team member of The Saga Institute. He serves on the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity Maryland’s State Support Organization (SSO), as well as the National Capital Area Regional Support Organization (RSO). John is a Global Village Team Leader who enjoys participating and leading Global Village teams to far flung corners of the earth. Check out John's Executive Director's Blog

Rachael graduated from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication. She completed her Masters at Gallaudet College in Washington D.C. Rachael has been working for nonprofits in the area of finance for the past 25 years.

Colleen is a Graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor's degree in Management and a minor in Women Studies. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Non-Profit Management from the University of Maryland. She is extremely proud to be working for such a wonderful organization.

Sarah is originally from Rochester, New York and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Russian and French from the University of Rochester in 2006. She completed her Masters in Marketing and Masters in Business Administration at the Simon School of Business in 2007 and 2008, respectively. Prior to working at HFH-MC she worked as an underwriter for a bank in New York and in Marketing & Communications at an AIDS clinic. Sarah is thrilled to join the Habitat team as Project Manager. When she’s not at Habitat you can find her at Capitals games!

Adeela, a native of Maryland, came to Habitat after working for two years at the National Council of Nonprofit Associations in Washington, DC. When Adeela is not working hard, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

James was born and raised in the Maryland area specifically Montgomery and Fredrick County. Before coming to HFH-MC James worked for his family’s moving business Snowden Movers located in Fredrick, MD. When not at work James likes to spend time with his family including his new baby girl and riding his prized motorcycle.

Nicole began her studies at Indiana University and is currently finishing her degree in Political Science at the University of Maryland. New to the Maryland area Nicole begin as an intern for Habitat in 2008 and has now joined the ReStore team as an Assistant Manager. Nicole hopes to have an impact on public and social policy. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities, reading/writing and spending time with her daughter and husband.

Jessica graduated in 2005 from Chapman University in Orange County, California with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Sociology.  She served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA member with HFH-MC from 2005-2006 and grew up in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

Molly graduated from the University of Chicago with degrees in both Environmental Studies and Anthropology. She has also completed coursework at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for a Masters in Land Resources.  She comes to Habitat having previously worked on community development and housing projects in the nonprofit and private sectors. Molly spends much of her free time with her husband and their dog when she isn’t otherwise baking or volunteering.

Jess was born in Virginia; however, she was raised overseas. She has spent the last 8 years living in the D.C. metro area. Jess is a recent graduate from University of Maryland with her bachelor’s degree in Public Health. Jess spent the year prior to joining HFH-MC traveling through Africa and South East Asia. In addition to volunteering, she spent the past year as an AmeriCorps member helping Habitat for Humanity provide affordable housing to low income families. She is now on staff as our Volunteer & Family Services Assistant. When she’s not working, Jess enjoys traveling and embarking on new adventures.

Teresa grew up in Ohio, Nevada, and Virginia.  She graduated in December 2008 from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Environmental Planning.  Recently, Teresa returned from a two-year stint with the Peace Corps in central Honduras.  She is excited to join the HFH-MC team as an AmeriCorps Weatherization Coordinator.  When not working, Teresa enjoys hiking, biking, cooking and sewing
