2012:

  • Neighborhood Revitalization Program Phase 2: HFH-MC continued its rehabilitation of vacant distressed properties and completed three additional homes in 2011

2011:

  • Neighborhood Revitalization Program Phase 2: HFH-MC continued its rehabilitation of vacant distressed properties and completed three additional homes in 2011
  • Weatherization: HFH-MC launched a new program with the goal of providing free basic weatherization services to increase energy efficiency in the home. Partnering with The Jewish Foundation for Group Homes HFH-MC was able to weatherize 37 homes

2010:

  • Neighborhood Revitalization Program Phase 2: HFH-MC continued its rehabilitation of vacant distressed properties and completed one additional home in 2010
  • Clarksburg: Thanks to the generous financial contribution of Ken and Nancy Malm, Craftstar Homes sold HFH-MC three MPDU condos in Clarksburg Village at a reduced cost

2009-2010:

  • Neighborhood Revitalization Program: HFH-MC partnered with Montgomery County Government to rehabilitate thirteen vacant foreclosed properties in designated areas of Montgomery County

2005-2008:

  • Linganore Woods, Burtonsville, MD: This community consists of 24, 3-level, 3-bedroom townhomes. It was our largest project to date

2003:

  • Jerusalem Church Road, Poolesville: This single-family home was the affiliate’s first full church sponsored home
  • Forest Glen, Silver Spring: The lots for these four townhomes were donated by Craftmark Homes and construction was financed by OBA Bank

2002:

  • Jerusalem Church Road, Poolesville: Turner Movie Classics (TMC) and Comcast provided full sponsorship for the construction of this house. Stan and Barbara Benning donated the land for this project

2001:

  • Johnson Drive, Rockville: This project involved working with the city of Rockville and County to upgrade the water and sewer lines for the whole street. Members of the Montgomery County Bar Association provided substantial financial, volunteer, and construction supervision for this project
  • Michael Court, Gaithersburg: HFH-MC purchased this foreclosed property from Montgomery County in partnership with Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This condominium was renovated and a major overhaul was done on the electrical, plumbing, and heating systems

2000:

  • Montgomery Avenue, Rockville: This property was donated by the former owner. The house was renovated and the attic was converted to an additional bedroom

1999:

  • Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring: Habitat renovated this former dentist’s office into a three bedroom, two bath unit. This project was “The Houses That Congress Built” site for Rep. Al Wynn (Congressman from Maryland’s Fourth District). Freddie Mac also made a large donation for this project
  • Connecticut Avenue Estates Neighborhood, Centerhill Street, Silver Spring: The property was purchased from HUD. Target Stores supported renovations to the house as part of their “Building A Wonderful Life” program. St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church helped to sponsor this renovated duplex

1995:

  • Albert Stewart Lane, Silver Spring: Three homes were built simultaneously on this street
  • Lewis Avenue in Rockville: This house was donated by Pulte Homes and was moved from Germantown

  • Plyers Mill Road, Kensington

1990:

  • Frederick Avenue, Rockville

1988:

  • Chandlee Mill Road, Sandy Spring

1986:

  • Chandlee Mill Road, Silver Spring: HFH-MC's first home built
